Ok, on an intellectual level I know it’s important to push yourself when it comes to weight training. Your muscles become to accustomed to the same workout and need to be pushed to get to the next level. I get it.
But making myself do it is a whole ‘nother story. I’ve been doing the same workout since February 2017. Really, I know every move before it happens and could do it for Ashlii if I had to. Boring, but better than nothing. We’re creatures of habit.
Today I just couldn’t do it anymore. I went looking on Amazon Prime Video and found some new routines I’m willing to try. Amazon Prime is the best investment you can make in your life, period. Even with their recent rate hike from $100 to $120 year.
So today I did the Jenny Ford Weights Toning video, 34 minutes. Was sweating buckets by the time we finished. Definitely a big push for my body. I pretty much did the whole thing except I kinda petered out on some lunges in the middle. I even did all of the push-ups!
Oh and my weight this morning was 136.0 — YES! Coming down from the summer slump, where I seem to gain weight every June.
Next time I’m going to try a GymRa routine, also courtesy of Amazon Prime Video. Gotta switch it up and keep my body guessing. Will let you know how that goes…
