A turning point.
A DECISION to do something different.
The flipping the light switch.
“That’s it. I’m done.”
It’s an inner knowing, inner seeing. You’re done with the way you’ve been living your life and have decided to change. Period.
Everyone who has lost weight and kept it off — usually after multiple attempts — knows exactly what I’m talking about. What was it about this time that made it stick? Something changed. What was the catalyst? The straw?
For me, it was finally realizing that achieving a normal weight was not about “dieting” — going on and off of diets. It was about creating a lifestyle that allowed me to lose weight while not feeling deprived or hungry. A lifestyle that I could maintain … for life.
Figuring out what worked best for me. Making my own rules. And feeling free to change them at any time.
That’s what “The Click” is about, for me, for you, for all of us. What finally propels us onto the road to good health, to being the best version of ourselves? That’s what I want to find out, beyond what worked for me… what has worked for others? How did they know this was it? How did you stay motivated? I have so many questions.
Somehow through the worst times of my life — after the collapse of my marriage, then the death of my beloved mother — I was finally able to find fitness and lose 90 pounds … at age 61.
